Dwarven Axe is worth around 40K.

Crystalline is beautiful...I concur with the other estimates averaging about 750K or so.

If you customise you cannot resell. Buy a sword for 50k, use it, resell it later when you find something better. If you customise the sword it's the same thing as losing 50k.

20% extra damage is moot in PvE. Besides, it's the warrior's priority to tank damage then deal damage. It is always pointless for wands or staffs.

If I were to customise anything, it would only be near max items with crap requirements like a 14>50 req 13 axe solely for PvP.

Hers what i do: i resell ALL low req items, and customize high req perfect items. If i have an item 15>50 req 12, ill customize it. 15>50 req 8, ill sell it and buy a req 12. This gives me more money and more items to use. I have a nice collection of perfect, high req items that i could nice an cheap.

You're both kinda right I guess. I mean, if you have a perfect sword that you aren't going to sell again, you may as well customize. But if the sword isn't perfect, chances are you will end up getting a better one, so don't customize.

There are two philosophies related to weapons:

1. Weapons are collector's items and exist for making profit. In that case, I would agree that you wouldn't customize anything, expecting that at some point you would resell the item.

2. Weapons are for using. In that case, you should work to obtain the weapon you are the most happy with. At that time, you should customize it so you can gain its full potential.

To me, I would much rather use a customized max damage weapon with no mods associated with it (other than some non-max upgrades) that is customized than using one of the extremely expensive items without customizing them.

Case in point...a 15>50 longsword req 8 is much, much worse than using a 11>50 longsword that is customized...one you get 15% more damage, the other you get 31% more damage, and get the exact same look.

In the end, if I get the ultimate weapon (i.e. a 15>50 crystalline sword), I would customize it in a heartbeat since I know that I would never use another weapon again.

i dont costumize everything i sell most infact. to make profit but if u finally found the sword / axe / hammer u want so bad why not costumize it?

i mean .. yea

u was talking about selling all 50+ k itemz and costumize 13> req 13's, well probs for some 50 k is alot but yea.. lol

thats seems rather pointless if u find the weapon u want u kno ur gonna use for a long time i'd say costumize..

and im srry for the 'angry?' reply

still luv u lol

Time for me to flame!!!!

Nah, j/k, but I will say this:

Crystalline's are ugly...*puts on flame retardant suit*

My philosophy:

1. Don't buy something you don't plan to use (and therefore customize). Rarely will I break this rule, and the only time I will, is when I know I can get a deal and resell for more (but usually I don't waste my time on such endeavors).

I'm an axe guy, so obviously I don't give a rat's bum about the Crystalline. Find me a 15>50 Max Sephis, and you can basically kiss my inventory goodbye.

I completely agree.

See I'm not sure I would do that. Maybe I wouldn't want to play my warrior anymore and would want to delete him. Maybe my tastes will change and I'll want to switch to a Fellblade instead. Customising doesn't give you flexibility.

If you customised a 15>50 req 8 Crystalline, that may or may not be the last sword you ever use. However, that would be equivalent of throwing 10M gold away. I'm not sure I could do that.

I would never customise anything more than 5% of my total cash + ectos. Also, any 13>50 req 13's will never cost more than 20k.

I feel that 20% extra damage is negligible for PvE or even PvP play. Better teamwork will probably mean a lot more than 20% extra damage on one player.

I think the difference is I'm trader first, player second. Reselling items is what I do with 80% of my GW playing time.

haha, also my philosphy to a tee.

my farming axe is the collectors 15% enchant, customized & modded
my normal use sword is the droknars 15%>50, customized & modded

I sold a very similar crystalline last week for 650K that I got in FoW. req. 11, dmg. 13% while in stance, 3:1 vamp, +29hp to give you an idea of what yours is worth.

I don't like how crystallines look, plus my customized droknars will do more damage and I'm not afraid to customize it.

In my warriors inventory, there's about a half dozen weapons that fit specific builds I have. Only my farming builds require req. 9 or lower, my spike axe or sword builds use 16 in axe or swords.

So, personally I wouldn't customize it unless it's perfect and I'm going to keep it.

I wouldn't go as far as saying that (regarding PvP at least), 20% (or 30%+ in fact) can be quite alot when you spike for 80-100+ dmg in one hit. Of course there is no replacement for good teamwork, however, the more damage the better... and could mean the difference between a kill and a death.

im thinking the feel of owning a weapon that no one else can makes it better aswell just the thought u kno..

example i kno someone wiht a +30 -2 req 8 str shield now he got some nice offers on it but, he said he'd rather be the 1 with the shield then the 1 with loads of money without the shield; )

think about that 1
